I’m taking on some of the UK’s & Africas most demanding walking, hiking and endurance challenges to raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital, helping support the incredible work they do for children and families across the region.
What started as a personal challenge has grown into a long-term fundraising mission. Over the coming years, I’ll be tackling mountains, long-distance trails and major endurance events.
All with one goal in mind — making a real difference to the lives of sick children and their families.
My journey includes:
✅ Climbing every route to the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)
✅ Summiting Pen y Fan, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis
✅ Walking Hadrian’s Wall Coast to Coast
✅ Trekking to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro
✅ Walking from Land’s End to John O’Groats
Every mile walked, every mountain climbed and every challenge completed is dedicated to raising vital funds for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
All challenges undertaken through Sponsor Matty are completely self-funded. I personally cover the costs of travel, accommodation, equipment, training, event fees and all other expenses associated with each challenge.
This means that every donation made through my official JustGiving page goes directly to Birmingham Children’s Hospital and helps support the incredible work they do for children and families.
To ensure complete transparency and public confidence, I do not accept cash donations, bank transfers, or donations made directly to my personal accounts. The only way to donate is through my official JustGiving fundraising page, where donations are processed securely and sent directly to Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
